sex drugs and disco balls

we decided on our production name to be Bjcy as it combines all the first initials of our groups names.

our chosen grene is feel good chick flicks.
the steriotype of our main charctor is a very quirky nerdy girl who thinks shes realy cool and espires to be a inventor, we have decided to name her chandler.

we all realy liked the idea of chandler falling out of bed, falling off her bike and being just a genral dopey kind of charactor we also thought the idea of her being bullied as soon as she gets to school but her havin sucjh a cool aprotch to it as if she doesnt have a clue everyone is laughing at her.

for being bullied we had ideas such as having a bucket shoved on her head, going up to the BFF babes as if shes one of the crew and they aresarkastic with her but chandler thinks they are being seriouse and she is right in ther with the poppluar girls

Film openings of my chosen genre.

The three film openings I watched where What A Girl Wants, Freaky Friday and Beauty Shop.

The opening of What A Girl Wants follows a paper butterfly up high all around a computerized city with really heart warming up beat music and introduces all the key characters.

The Beauty Shop starts with some old school rock and a radio presenter talking over the top as you are given a tour over the town with a birds eye view.

I have decided to write about Freaky Friday as out of the three I like it the best because there is so much going on and you are instantly introduced to the key characters and what their relationships with each other are and what type of personalties they have.

Freaky Friday starts off with very mellow happy music going through family photos of the main characters within the movie, the title is then introduced in calligraphy written on a cream back ground and is drawn on the the screen.

You are then taken to a view of the house and taken inside to a view of a teenage girl asleep in bed next to her alarm clock reading 5:59 am.

The alarm clock signals 6:am and the teen slams her hand on the snooze button and the calm music instantly changes to very upbeat rock music.

Anna's (the teenage girl) mum comes in to get her up out of bed but Anna being a your typical teenager digs her head into the pillow and refuses. Straight away you are given a sense of what you will be in for during the remainder of the film. It made me feel very amused and warm inside as I think my self and most people are able to relate to what is going on.

The shot changes to the mother sat in front of her bed cross legged meditating giving you a rigid idea of her being a control freak.

You then see her go back into Anna's room shaking her trying to get her up again, you are then quickly taken back to the control freak idea as you watch Anna's mum her pick up at least 5 different electronic devices and place them in her purse, she then turns around to fill her sons glass back up and wipe his mouth clean bearing in mind the boy looks about 12 years of age!

Anna's still in bed and as she holds on tightly to her headboard her mother try's pulling her legs to get her out of bed. This made me feel very warm and made me laugh because it really is a real life situation and being a teenager myself gives me a little insight to what I'm like and what my mum must go through. This creates an even bigger rebellion image and she is still refusing to get out of bed.

This is followed by Anna's younger brother coming in with a horn and  holding it to her head and blasting her with noise. This already shows the type of relationships and personality all three characters have within the first couple of minutes of the film. As Anna chases him out of her room she slams the door in the cameras face and you are able to read the words 'parental advisory keep out of my room' on a sign filling the screen, which is then suddenly opened again with anna ready for school dressed in a black and red top with a black chocker and thick bracelet. So the whole build up of her being rebellious is then revealed as she's dressed as a punk.

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

  • Focus Features
  • Summit entertainment
  • SKA films
  • The Steve Tisch Company
  • A Matthew Vaughn Production
  • A Guy Richie Film
Straight away you are taken to a cockney crook selling stolen jewelry on some back street very cheaply. The camera  is very focused on him talking, you are instantly given an insight to the characters personality. Then all of a sudden the atmosphere is totally changed  into straight up action as he then gets chased by the 'cops'.
The camera changes from following the characters and is placed at the  bottom of a stair case. You see the first character crash into the side of the wall in a rush to get away, in slow motion you are given a commentary over the top of who  he is and what his talent is The second character then comes round the corner with the rest of his 'goods' and throws them all over the other guy. His commentary is then told, telling who he is and  how he now has to sell on the streets. The title  Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is then typed across the screen

Godfather

  • Paramount
  • Paramount Pictures Presents.....
There is mellow music playing to start with then Mariopuzzos 'The Godfather' comes up on the screen. The music stops and a close up of a mexican accented man is talking very passionately about america. The camera very very slowly moves away as he talks about his daughter being tragically raped and beaten. the camera is taken off to an over the shoulder shot from whoever this man is talking too and he asks why he never came to him first.

snatch.

  • Columbia presents Sony pictures entertainment
  • In association with SKA films
  • A Matthew Vaughn production
  • A Guy Richie film
The film starts off with a shot of the back of a mans head, you are then taken over his shoulder to a shot of two men facing him with a commentary from one of the men about who those two characters are and their names. Suddenly the music changes to a very  greek  sound. You see on CCTV cameras some arabs going through security on the different CCTV cameras you are given key actors names aka Brad Pitt.
They all move through into a lift and end up walking down a corridor into some kind of room that is under high security, suddenly the Arabs rip their clothes off grab their guns and create havoc, you ate then taken to a shot of someone stealing diamonds.
Then the shot  shows them getting rid of all their disguises in the back of a van and you see one of the characters holding a huge diamond. The shot freezes and drops down to the diamond so that it fills the whole screen and the title Snatch comes up
